As a marketing professional with 13 years of experience, I specialize in content creation and strategy, copywriting, lead generation, and customer engagement. At Live Your Message, I lead the development and execution of comprehensive content marketing strategies, resulting in significant increases in impressions, engagement, and audience growth across multiple platforms, while driving leads and sales for the company’s programs. As the manager of a private Facebook group with 44,000 members, I plan and manage the editorial calendar, which includes writing and deploying weekly value emails that drive brand retention. Additionally, I mentor the Marketing Assistant, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and effective collaboration.

My mission is to craft impactful, data-driven strategies that foster audience connection and drive business growth. I leverage tools such as Google Analytics, Sprout Social, and Canva to create engaging content tailored to each platform. I am passionate about using creativity and innovation to enhance brand visibility while maintaining a supportive and inclusive team environment.

My expertise extends to writing engaging YouTube video scripts and Facebook ad video scripts. I have a wealth of experience in ideating, creating, and publishing a variety of videos — including Reels, Shorts, and YouTube tutorials. My ability to craft compelling, value-packed emails has been instrumental in building valuable relationships with audiences, including newsletters. I possess technical expertise in loading, scheduling, and publishing content on various email platforms, as well as all social media platforms and WordPress, which has significantly streamlined operations and increased efficiency.

In 2012, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Texas State University.  This program was a transformative experience, equipping me with a wide range of skills in social media, video editing, online media design, and research, among others. I worked on several multimedia reporting projects, including covering SXSW Interactive for my Advanced Online Media Design class blog, sxtxstate.com. One of my notable achievements was contributing to the Knight grant-funded multimedia reporting project, txstateofchange.com, which demonstrated my ability to apply my skills in a real-world setting.

I live in Austin, TX, with my husband and wonderful cat, Duncan. As you can see below, I’m a crazy cat lady! I love watching sports, action and horror movies, spending time with friends and family, the works of Stephen King, working out, and listening to podcasts (The Dollop is my favorite).

I grew up in a very small town near San Antonio and am a huge Spurs fan. Go Spurs Go! I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, not once, but twice. First, I got a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. I taught high school English at Vista Ridge High School for four years. I left to get my Master’s Degree in Mass Communications at Texas State University. That two years were two of the best of my life, as I learned more than I thought I ever could about online media. I even got to report at South By Southwest for our Advanced Online Media Design blog.

I’m a crazy cat lady and have a cat named Duncan. He’s so sweet, playful, smart, and funny!

I have a twin brother, Ryan, and two younger twin brothers. I also have two sets of twin cousins (all boys). Yep, my family is full of twins!

I am passionate about volunteering and trying to better my community. In 2016, I joined the Junior League of Austin. I’m currently a volunteer with Breakthrough Central Texas. Additionally, my friend started her own non-profit, Our Way. Through that organization, I volunteer for worthy causes throughout the area.

I also love to travel! I hope to take a trip to France sometime soon. I’ve been to Italy (Florence, Pizza, Venice), Costa Rica, Playa del Carmen, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, and many states in the U.S. My favorite vacation was probably my honeymoon in Maui. I got to go back with some girlfriends to celebrate my 40th birthday!

My all-time favorite city is New Orleans. I’ve been nine times, and would love to go back every year. My sister and I just took a trip there this March.
